Private Pilot License / PPL(A) Course

 

The private pilot license gives the right to perform non-commercial flights on a light-engine, small-sized aircraft, according to the “Visual Flight Rules VFR” (Visual Flight Rules).

Obtaining this license will allow you to fly independently anywhere in the world. The training is carried out in accordance with the requirements of EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency).

Requirements for candidates:

  • Age – from 17 and older;  
  • Health – certificate of the medical commission of the 1st or 2nd class in accordance with the requirements of EASA (Part-MED)
  • English - not lower than Upper-Intermediate level

Information about the course

 

The flight training course consists of 45 flight hours, of which:

• 25 hours of flight time with an instructor (dual instruction);
• 10 hours of independent flight under the supervision of an instructor (solo), of which at least 5 hours of independent flight along the route (solo cross-country);
• 1 route flight with a total distance of at least 270 km (150 nautical miles) with full landings at 2 different airfields, excluding the departure airfield.

The theoretical training course consists of 100 hours and is conducted online or offline. At the end of the course, there will be a check-ride with the examiner: a flight along the route with the testing of emergency and forced landings, the withdrawal of aircraft from stall, etc. After successfully passing the exam in the Slovenian Civil Aviation Agency you receive your coveted private pilot license PPL (A) of the European EASA standard (with the opportunity to continue training up to the ATPL Frozen EASA level).


PPL(A) EASA  course with theoretical training online

 

• Theoretical training (100 hours) - is carried out on the Zoom platform, classes are held online with a teacher 3 times a week for 4 hours. The duration of theoretical training is 2 months.
• Practical training (45 hours) – flights are carried out in Slovenia. The duration of practical training is 1 month.

After completing the theoretical course, the cadet passes online tests for preliminary assessment of the level of training. After successfully passing the online tests, the cadet receives an invitation to arrive in Slovenia, where he takes the rest of the flight training course.


PPL(A) EASA course with theoretical training offline

 

• Theoretical training (100 hours) – in Slovenia, classes are held with a teacher in the classroom 6 times a week for 6 hours. The duration of theoretical training is 1 month.
• Practical training (45 hours) – flights are carried out in Slovenia. The duration of practical training is 1 month.
