Following an ambitious business expansion plan, Hungarian low-cost pioneer Wizz Air has announced its intention to increase its fleet to 500 aircraft by 2030 and plans to hire 6,600 new pilots. The news was confirmed during the Pilot Expo in May 2022 in Berlin.
"We plan to grow 3 times in the next 9 years. Thus, our recruitment team must hire 1 person every hour to fulfill the plan of 2,000 new employees per year. At the moment, we have 42 bases in 18 countries. There are many locations where pilots and flight personnel can enroll."
